Aguni Sea Salt is produced from the remote Aguni Island, northwest of the collection of Okinawan islands of Japan, where abundant coral reefs and marine life are found.
Salt is produced the traditional method honored and preserved over time--sea water is trickled down inverted bamboo branches. Crystallized sea water concentrates are removed and placed in giant pans to bake in the sun in greenhouses or simmered for two whole days, a combined total time of more than two months to produce one of a kind sea salt.
Many of the beneficial minerals are still intact such as selenium, chromium and magnesium. It also adds flavor to this delicious sea salt.
With its delicate flavor void of the harsh table salt taste, its great as a finishing salt to add to your meals right before you eat.
